Coldest Night of the Year – February 2025
Our 4th annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk was a HUGE success! Over 200 incredible community members showed up to walk in the cold in support of our clients. We smashed our $25,000 goal, raising over $31,000 in all. We are so grateful to have the tight-knit Flint community behind us and supporting the work we do to provide safe housing, independence, and stability for families and individuals who need it most.
Our amazing media partners, Mid-Michigan NOW, had a feature all about event day! Hear Stella Daskalakis, who spoke at the event and led the walkers on the route, talk about this awesome evening: Mid-Michigan NOW feature.
Special thank you to our incredible sponsors, and to Starbucks and Timothy’s Pub, who provided warm soup and drinks for all patrons once again.

A Home of Their Own Luncheon – October 2024
We want to extend a big thank you to everyone who made our October luncheon a truly memorable event! From our generous sponsors to our dedicated attendees, your support allowed us to come together and celebrate the incredible resilience and success of our clients.
This year, we were proud to honor Spartan Street Medicine for their unwavering commitment to serving unhoused members of our community. Their partnership with our Street Outreach team has been instrumental in providing much-needed care and assistance to individuals living on the streets of Flint. Recognizing their impactful work was a powerful reminder of how much we can achieve when we work together.

Coldest Night of the Year – February 2024
Wow! In only our 3rd year participating in this fundraising walk, our community has outdone themselves. After the hard work of our 18 fundraising teams, we raised over $22,000! That’s 12% above our initial goal! 102 attendees showed up on event day, all bundled up to walk our 2km or 5km routes around Mott Community College.
The day was unforgettable, with warm food and beverages provided at the end of the walk by Timothy’s Pub & Starbucks. It was a great way to commemorate our successes. Thank you to our other sponsors— HAP CareSource, Mid-Michigan Now, and Pioneer State Mutual Insurance— for making this event so memorable.
