Transitional Boarding House
The Transitional Boarding House program assists homeless individuals (chronic and non-chronic) in Genesee County that have a dual diagnosis (consisting of a mental health diagnosis accompanied with an additional diagnosis and/or disability as determined by a doctor or therapist or substance abuse history). The program utilizes a six-eight bed transitional facility which is staffed 24/7, to assist single adults with transitioning into housing. Transitioning is achieved through connecting individuals with housing programs for securing and maintaining safe affordable housing, obtaining additional income and/or skills, connecting them with the needed treatment services to address diagnose/disability, community agencies, as well as providing training/group sessions at the transitional boarding house which will assist with the individuals being able to achieve great self-determination, and with their overall transition process. For more information please contact Della Price, House Manager at 810.339.6517.
